9.75 (excellent) Angel Beats! this was a show I absolutely loved. I know a lot of people will rip into Angel Beats for inconsistencies and a multitude of other problems. And like air it was an emotional roller coaster. Despite all the problems I loved this show. I loved the characters, the music, the setting, the plot, the twists, the ending. I loved almost everything about this show. And why else do we watch anime if not for enjoyment. It may not be the best show out there but it will forever be considered one of my favorites.

9.50 (excellent) This is hands down one of the best anime of the last 10 years. If you have not seen it, put it at the top of your queue at this moment. Despite being only 13 eps (16 with the OVA) they pack a ton of content and even more characters into the show. You will be confused about whats going on and who is who but despite that you won't want to stop watching. It pulls you in and doesn't let go. It's a rocket ride where you don't actually get control until the very end when it all comes together in a near perfect way. It has been described that this is what Tarantino would make if he did an Anime. I agree half way, the other half being if he collaborated with Guy Richie.

Fantastic watch!

9.00 (very good) Fantastic sports anime. Honestly one of the most realistic takes on sports I've seen. Seeing characters struggle and fail to achieve what they want, then seeing how they handle and react to the adversity is the epitome of what a real sports anime is all about. There isn't any winning because you are the protagonist here, which I love. The characters are all deeply fleshed out with their own passions, weaknesses, and strengths. They all feel very alive. The music and animation are top notch, and for whats a simple slow paced card game, the matches are truly exhilarating. Hands down a top tier show, highly recommended.

9.00 (very good) I really enjoyed this movie. The music is fantastic and the plot was a little confusing but interesting and fun. I finished the movie and just stared at the screen like WTF. But I've been thinking about the movie everyday since I finished it (a week ago) and I need to watch it again to verify some thoughts. But I recommend this to most people.

8.25 (good) -Watched 46 Episodes, it's getting good! Can't wait to finish this! 9/10
-Finished it, the climax was great fun yet somehow a little disappointing. All in all the final couple episodes just wasn't up to what I was expecting. 8.25/10

8.25 (good) Watched 52 Episodes, this is so funny. Love it!
104 Episodes watched, still enjoying this a lot. Love all the characters. Great stuff.

Finally finished it along with all the movies and OVA's. The series really drags on for a while and the overall episode quality does drop. Thee are still some gems though near the end. Many of the OVA's were fantastic, some of the best parts of the entire series. I thought the movies though were flat, boring and predictable.

8.00 (good) Exciting and brutal. This has been a solid all around show. The first season was very solid with only one or two episodes that I thought was meh. The second season has been a little less impressive but still overall on point.

7.50 (good) I'm a little ashamed to admit it but I am loving this show so far. It is just so adorable. I'm not a big fan of yuri and normally just prefer the hints of it (such as in yuyushiki) but for some reason this has been quite enjoyable.

7.50 (good) I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I started Air Gear and the ecchi here and there was definitely a put off. But the story was engaging, the characters interesting, and the visuals were stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and wish that they would make some more episodes. Would recommend.

Space Dandy

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

7.00 (above average) Space Dandy has been hit or miss. When it's good it is really good. But there are a lot of episodes that fall flat. The second season has been a little better in my opinion though. That might be because I am getting used to the style of the show and the characters. When I first started I think I was trying to take the series to serious which was making me not enjoy it as much. This second season though I've left all that behind and have been focusing on just enjoyment and it's turned out better.

Air

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

7.00 (above average) Air was a roller coaster of emotions. Which is good and bad. My biggest issue with it was I had trouble figuring out what the hell was going on. They tried to pack so much into such a short anime series that they ended up having to have weird jumps to explain certain things. So that by the climax I was left just as confused as I was sad. It's a decent watch and probably one that will be remembered for many years to come.

Akira

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

7.00 (above average) Akira was a mind blowing experience that I don't really know how to fully describe. At this point watching it for the first time is difficult because you have already set up expectations for it. You've heard how it's considered one of the greatest anime movies of all time and that it practically revolutionized the western interest in anime. That all being said it is very easy to expect that absolute best and then feel a little disappointed when it is over. It is a great watch and will forever be remembered for what it did to the industry I just wasn't crazy about it.

Azumanga Daioh

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

7.00 (above average) Azumanga Daioh is the classic slice of life comedy and really set forth the motion towards the "cute girls doing cute things" trend that hit so hard in the mid to late 2000's. The characters were classic with some hilarious scenes and good mixture of scenes. There were many typical anime tropes and all of them were great. This isn't for everyone and it's not the best in my opinion within this genre but it's a must watch if you like slice of life comedies.

Ah! Megami-sama

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

6.75 (above average) I've finished all of Ah! Megami-sama including all the OVA's and movies. All in all it has been a great ride and I love the relationship between Belldandy and Keiichi. Skuld is probably my favorite character though in the whole series. The only thing I really didn't care for is how the art style changed from the very first ova to everything else. Everything after the first series almost looks a little less mature or childish in a way. But that is a minor complaint. All in all it is a solid watch.

Accel World

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

6.75 (above average) Accel world was very enjoyable for the most part. Unfortunately I could just never get into the main protagonist. It's not that he was fat but more so that he was just sooo insanely short compared to everyone else. Like even the loli character towered over him. The CGI was also a little offputting at times. The last story arc was a little weird and not very well done. Enjoyable just not great.

Bakemonogatari

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

6.75 (above average) This is a hard one for me to rate. Because Bake and Neko monogatari's I didn't really care much for. Despite loving Yui Horie as a Voice Actress I just can't stand the character Tsubasa in this series. The main character was never that interesting to me either. Monogatari the Second Season was really fantastic and Nisemonogatari was fairly solid though. So I tried to split my score down the middle between the different series.

This is a heavy dialog show and if you'd rather see things happening this show probably isn't for you. The dialog is interesting and there is a lot of word play and I think some of it gets lost in translation unfortunately. I enjoyed Nise and Second Season because I thought the stories were legitimately more interesting and I thought more actually happened.

BTOOOM!

Last Updated: Aug 08, 2014

6.25 (average) Despite how short this was it was very enjoyable. The main female was a little annoying and the connection she had with the main character seemed a little too convenient but I legitimately enjoyed the strategy and action sequences in this show. It's a shame the show is currently left hanging with a second season never to come. Also the opening is pretty awesome!

Blue Gender

Last Updated: Aug 08, 2014

6.00 (average) This was one of the first overly violent anime I had seen. Up until this point it was mostly things like Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Yuyu Hakusho and other similar shows that were early on brought over to the US. This was the first one that really made me see where the medium can be pushed. The show as a whole (from what I remember) wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I thought the characters were a little dull and made some bad decisions and the ending was meh. But it was a decent ride.

Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Aug 08, 2014

5.75 (average) This show started off really slow for me. I never really got into the characters and the main romantic love interest seemed kind of bland and overused in anime. There was honestly one episode that gives this show nearly a full point bump. If the rest of the episodes had that kind of quality it would of been a solid show. It wasn't bad and the comedy started to hit the mark a little more in some of the later episodes. Another knock on the show is it that it is currently incomplete and the ending just kind of leaves things feeling very unfulfilled.

Blood+

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Aug 08, 2014

5.50 (average) Blood+ had an interesting plot that really lost a lot of steam about mid way through. Things started becoming more predictable and the characters I felt had less growth as the series progressed. It all just dragged on a little too long though. With 50 episodes, I think being closer to about 36 would of been much more fitting for the series.

Ao no Exorcist

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

5.25 (moderate) Started out good but has started to drag on and many of the episodes feel very much like typical shounen fillers. The ending is fast approaching and I'm not sure what to think of the ending. It feels kind of forced and thus uninteresting. I just don't really care what happens to any of the characters and that is a shame.

Allison and Lillia

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

5.25 (moderate) Allison and Lillia was interesting and had a lot of potential. The first half of the series was engaging and interesting. Unfortunately about half way through the plot switched to focus on Lillia, Allison's daughter. This in turn became problematic because the characters just didn't have great interaction before. It lost a lot of it's charm and became kind of boring. Had they ended it half way through or decided to tell more of the story with Allison, this would of been a lot better.

High School of the Dead

5.00 (moderate) -First 4 episodes. Been great, it's a lot of fun, something you don't take to seriously. Ecchi is a little over the top but I can deal with it. 8.5/10
-Finished: It started off good but the middle of the series got way to bogged down in pointless ecchi scenes/episodes. It picked up a little at the end but it just lost it's balance from the first few episodes. 7.5/10

Sword Art Online

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

5.00 (moderate) First season was meh. It started off amazing and although I thoroughly enjoyed many parts of the series, I can't reward it with a good score because of how bad some aspects were. The second arc was pretty bad and too many things seemed setup.

Just started season 2. First episode was alright. We'll see how the show works out. Premise seems interesting and I've heard that the GGO arc is one of the better ones in this series.

Aku no Hana

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2014

2.00 (very poor) I should of dropped this immediately or just never to have picked up. I was told it was going to be a psychological drama and that got me interested. Although after the first two episodes I was just so turned off that I didn't care and wanted to quit. But I decided to preserver and hope it got better. It didn't. My problem is the main character was such a coward and indecisive. The entire drama of the first half could have easily been avoided through multiple avenues but our character was such an idiot. Maybe he is just a giant masochist and wanted to be treated like shit. Either way I hated this and every episode was torture to watch.
